"There's nothing like good food and family."

So this year my parents came up with the New Years resolution to spend more time with me and my siblings. Wanting to see us more often, my mother came up with the idea of doing family dinners once a week. The fun part is that each week one of us gets to choose what we'll have for dinner. It's an easy way for us to decide on dinner as well as learn about

each other's evolving tastes as we try newer and more varied dishes. Since I am the youngest, I had to wait my turn to pick dinner but the week finally came and I chose...lasagna!
This is one of my favorite dishes of all time. I can remember being a kid at my grandmother's cottage and getting so excited as the smell of tomato and basil filled the air. Today was no different as I greeted my father at the door with a big hug and then rushed into the kitchen. It was like being slammed in the face by a wall of aromatic goodness. Dinner was delicious as it always is and I really enjoyed spending time with my family. What are some ways that your families still make time to share with each other. Is there a favorite dish from your childhood that you simply can't resist. You'll have to let me know.
Until next time,
