"This Pride I wanted to do something very editorial and Vogue-esque."

I'm incredibly proud of how this editorial pride shoot came together! If you can't tell, this is my interpretation of the bisexual flag. I wanted to make sure I was representing the colors while still elevating the concept as a whole.

I mainly used poses from Foxcity's Show Off Pose Pack. This pack features a good variety of 6 poses with a single exclusive pose if you purchase the Fatpack. Each pose features interesting shapes and angles that are perfect for a high fashion photo shoot. I've had this pack for a very long time and it's one I always come back to!

Another important aspect of this shoot were the various expressions. In a particual photo I wanted to go for a "Paris is Burning" feeling. I wanted to convey the joy and confidence that being a part of the Ballroom community has instilled in me over the years.

IRL, Ballroom has a a special home in my heart. Finding and persisting to not only exist but flourish in that space has allowed me to be the person that I am today both on the grid and in my personal life. In today's political climate, I think we all should take the time to not only educate ourselves but to truly try to understand the importance of these communities and what they bring to society.

At the end of the day, I'm truly grateful that we live in world where people can express themselves how they want and as who they want. Happy Pride everyone!
