"There are many things we do for the sake of leisure...tea is not one of those things."

Growing up, Afternoon tea was always a part of my daily routine. I remember being young and watching my grandmother set the table in her countryside home. There was a juxtaposition to the way my mother would, she would always have tea set up before we sat down but my grandmother insisted that setting the table was a part of the process. Being an adult, now I can see what she meant. There is a certain solace in spending the better part of an hour polishing cutlery as the scent of tea lives fills my apartments. A quiet excitement as the sweets arrive and I take them out of their respective boxes. And a feeling of resolution that fills my heart as I sit down in front of my spread and wait for my friends to arrive. This set was actually a gift from my grandmother this holiday, I can't wait to bring it to the countryside so that we can appreciate Afternoon Tea together!

I also was lucky enough to receive a few other wonderful gifts this season. Like this super hydrating and non-staining lipstick from Moccino Beaute, a must have for any tea lover and perfect for sipping from even the cleanest china. And because I have to be at the forefront of every trend, I was blessed to receive an early release of the "Onyx n Pearl" set. A gift from the Arnaud brand. My lipstick is available at the Moccino Beaute mainstore while the Onyx n Pearl set will not be available until the opening of the LEVEL event on January 1st.

Until next time,
